Annual Iota charity Auction
Every academic school year, the brothers of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Alpha Psi Chapter host a charity auction to the members of the Rutgers university community. Proceeds goes to different organizations in New Brunswick City, recent proceeds were donated to St. Jude Children Hospital and The Eric B. Chandler Health Center.

Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar
Breast cancer is a malignant (cancerous) tumor that starts from cells of the breast. During breast cancer awareness week, the classy “Do or Die” brothers of Iota Phi Theta fraternity, Alpha Psi chapter reach out to women of all races and ages about risk factors/ prevention about breast cancer. Having an in-depth discussion/ seminar females becomes more aware about early detection, diagnosis, staging and treatment.

Blood Drives
Blood is the common bond between human beings. It is beyond caste, creed, race, religion, or nationality. The brothers of Iota Phi Theta actively participate/volunteer every academic semester in donating bloods. Also recruit members of the Rutgers University, New Brunswick community to donate blood.

Adopt a Spot
The brothers of Iota Phi Theta fraternity, Alpha Psi Chapter actively participate in cleaning riverbanks and parks on campus.

Other Active Participation

Big Chill 5k Walk/Run- During the Holiday Season Rutgers University hosts this annual event for children who are less fortunate. Participants donate an unwrapped gift to register for the charity event.

Walk for Literacy- Brothers walk with the community from a specific location to another.

Walk for Breast Cancer/ AIDS Awareness- During both awareness time periods, The Brothers of Iota Phi Theta participates in the annual walk-a-thon.
